May 31: Yoga Nidra with Fran
Yoga nidra is a deeply restorative practice that could help beat insomnia and other sleep issues. We will begin with some breath work. Then for the rest of the session , you will be lying down in shavasana, being guided with a visualization meant to bring you to a deep state of relaxation.
  • reduces anxiety by calming the nervous system, balancing our parasympathetic (rest and digest) and sympathetic (fight and flight) systems helping to calm the body and reduce stress and anxiety.
  • releases stress in the body, which can also be beneficial if you suffer from physical aches and pains.
  • enables a great night sleep!
Beyond Asana: An Enrichment Experience are classes taking place weekly EXCEPT during the months of June, July, and August.  (June, July, and August are when Yoga in the Park takes place). Fran is excited to present these weekly classes to you. Topics will vary weekly and will be of great interest to yogis who want to expand their experience and knowledge of the meditative arts and for those who want to delve deeper into the rich layers of the yoga practice.  

Some classes will feature guests bringing you Tibetan Lama chanting and meditation, Shamanic Journeying, Sound Bath, Yoga Nidra, Studies of the Sutras, Chakra Studies, and so much more! Fran's monthly newsletter will announce each monthly offerings of Beyond Asana: An Enrichment Experience. Open your mind, continue to learn, quench your curiosity, investigate and experience areas of interest that will allow you to grow spiritually.
